Heiwa MC’s Ocean Breeze: A Unique Triumph Bonneville T100

Kengo Kimura, the mastermind behind Heiwa MC, has once again showcased his extraordinary talent with his latest custom build. This time, Kimura has transformed a 2003-model Triumph Bonneville T100 into a sleek bobber that exudes elegance and style.

The client had two specific requests for the bike – a tail cowl in Heiwa’s signature style and high-mounted exhausts. In response, Kimura delivered a bobber that not only fulfills these requests but also boasts a flawless stance and silhouette.

Instead of focusing on high performance, Kimura made subtle changes to the Bonneville T100’s running gear. The front forks have been internally shortened, while aftermarket shocks lower the rear. He also kept the OEM brakes and front wheel but re-laced the rear wheel with a 16″ rim. The vintage-style Duro sawtooth tires add a touch of nostalgia to the overall aesthetic.

Kimura’s craftsmanship truly shines when it comes to the custom bodywork. He fabricated a handmade steel fuel tank and an aluminum tail cowl to match the client’s desires. The tank’s front curve echoes the Triumph’s steering neck gusset, while the tail cowl subtly ends in ducktails. Even the subframe modifications are impeccably tidy, with rear frame rails trimmed down and bungs added for bolting the rear cowl.

Underneath the saddle, a handmade box houses the battery and electronics, replacing the original airbox. The Bonneville now breathes through a pair of pod filters. The cockpit features a blend of OEM and custom parts, including a set of Heiwa drag bars, vintage switches, and a single aftermarket speedo. The lighting setup includes a Bates-style headlight, mounted on a handmade bracket, and mounted turn signals.

The Bonneville T100’s livery is executed by N2AUTO and features a candy icy blue coat with silver pin-striping. The bike’s finishes alternate between black and chromed, creating a visually striking contrast. The twin shotgun exhausts, equipped with heat shields and removable baffles, complete the custom Triumph’s aesthetic.

It’s clear that this Triumph Bonneville T100 is a true Heiwa creation. Despite being built for a client rather than a show, it’s every bit as desirable as Kimura’s trophy-winning machines. The attention to detail, elegant design, and superb craftsmanship make this custom build a masterpiece in its own right.
