Porsche Unveils Its Most Powerful SUV Ever: The 2024 Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid with 729 Horsepower

Porsche enthusiasts and fans of fast SUVs will be delighted to hear about the new additions to the Cayenne lineup for 2024. The Turbo variant has been replaced by the plug-in hybrid Turbo E-Hybrid, which boasts a bigger battery and significantly more power.

The 2024 Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid receives a nearly 10 percent increase in power compared to its predecessor. It now generates a whopping 729 horsepower and 700 lb-ft of torque, thanks to an extensively revised 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 engine. Additionally, it features a 174 horsepower electric motor that is fueled by a new 25.9 kWh battery pack located beneath the trunk.

This power combination makes the 2024 Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid the most powerful Cayenne that Porsche has ever sold. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds and boasts a top speed of 183 mph.

To ensure that such power is harnessed effectively, the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid comes with a new two-chamber, two-valve air suspension as standard. This technology enables the SUV to adjust its compression and rebound settings separately, providing better control over the ride quality. When combined with the standard Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus and optional rear-axle steering, the Cayenne delivers an intimidating and graceful driving experience.

In terms of design, Porsche has given the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid a Turbo-specific front fascia with large air intakes and high-gloss black air blades. The wheel arches and lower rear fascia are kept body color to enhance the high-performance appearance. The dual exhausts are made of brushed aluminum, and the brake calipers are painted red.

Inside the cabin, the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid features aluminum trim on the dash and doors, along with a Race-Tex roof liner for a sporty feel. It comes standard with a GT Sport steering wheel equipped with a special drive mode button. The front seats are 18-way adjustable leather Sports seats, although 14-way adjustable leather Comfort seats are also available.

The 2024 Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid will be offered in both the standard body style and the coupe body style. The standard body style starts at $148,550 (including destination), while the coupe body style begins at $153,050 (including destination). It is expected to arrive at U.S. dealerships in the spring.

Overall, the new Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid is an impressive addition to Porsche’s lineup, delivering exceptional power and performance for SUV enthusiasts.
