Opinions of car buyers on India’s most budget-friendly electric car revealed in a [Video]

The British motoring brand, MG India, has recently introduced its newest model, the MG Comet. This all-electric car is specifically designed for city dwellers and has been attracting a lot of attention from potential buyers in the country. To showcase its popularity, a YouTuber was given an MG Comet by the brand for review and recorded the reactions of people who encountered the car. The video reveals that most individuals who saw the car in person were impressed by its size, design, and quality.

The video capturing the public’s reactions to the MG Comet was shared on YouTube by Her Garage on their channel. In the video, the presenter introduces the car and explains that there was no plan to create a reaction video. However, due to the numerous natural reactions they received from the public, they decided to document the encounters. The presenter then proceeds to drive the car on public roads and the first interaction takes place with a group of people sitting in different auto-rickshaws at a signal.

The video shows people giving the car a thumbs up, and one of the auto drivers expresses that the car is very good when asked about it. He also inquires about the price, to which the presenter replies that the prices have not yet been revealed. It should be noted that since the making of the video, the starting price of the MG Comet has been announced as Rs 7.98 lakh.

As the presenter stops at another traffic signal, another individual is seen admiring the car and asks about various details such as the company name, price, and range. The YouTuber answers all of their questions. Another auto-rickshaw driver also arrives at the signal and asks about the presence of an air conditioner in the MG Comet, to which the presenter confirms its availability. Later, another person compares the size of the MG Comet to that of the Tata Nano.

The presenter then reaches a corporate office or a five-star hotel where a few guards notice the vehicle. She engages in conversation with them and asks for their opinions on the car. The guards mention that it is a good-looking car and would be ideal for driving in cities with heavy traffic like Delhi. She shows the guards the car from the inside and allows them to sit in it. They express positive views on the interiors as well. Interestingly, they disclose that they drive a Toyota Fortuner and a Mercedes G Wagon, which they also find impressive.

Moving on, the presenter visits another public place where a crowd gathers to see the MG Comet. Office employees and young students are among those who express admiration for the car’s compact size, modern exteriors, and interiors. Many appreciate the futuristic, minimalistic, and functional dashboard layout of the car. People also test the rear seats and mention that both the front and rear spaces are ample. Overall, the overwhelming majority of individuals who saw the car were impressed by the MG Comet.

The MG Comet seems to have generated positive feedback from the public, particularly for its small electric design and attractive features. It remains to be seen how well it performs in the market and whether it can carve a niche for itself in the competitive electric car segment in India.
