Fisker Unveils Off-Road-Ready Ocean EV prior to Scheduled Deliveries

Fisker has unveiled the Ocean Force E, a rugged off-road version of its electric crossover. This new iteration of the Ocean features 33-inch all-terrain tires, 20-inch three-spoke wheels, revised bumpers, and unique dampers. Fisker plans to start delivering the Ocean to US customers in June, with the Force E set to arrive by the end of the year.

However, an update reveals that the Force E package will now be available in the US in the first quarter of 2024, increasing the price of the Ocean by an estimated $14,000. Fisker has also released new images of the Force E.

Fisker recently delivered its first electric Ocean SUV in Denmark, and now the company is expanding its model lineup with the Ocean Force E. Described as an extreme version of the electric crossover, the Force E boasts extra ground clearance and is equipped with 33-inch all-terrain tires. Fisker claims that the Force E produces 550 horsepower, identical to other top-spec dual-motor all-wheel drive Oceans. The Force E package can also be retrofitted to any all-wheel-drive Ocean Extreme or Ocean Ultra.

The images of the Ocean Force E showcase additional features such as a revised front bumper with tow hooks and auxiliary lights, plastic cladding around the wheel wells, and a more robust rear bumper with its own tow hook and reinforced skid plate. A full-length underbody titanium plate is also included to shield the battery. Optional upgrades include a roof rack, rubber floors, extra grab handles, and tie downs.

Although Fisker has not yet started delivering the Ocean in the United States due to ongoing regulatory processes, the company expects to receive approvals from the EPA and CARB later this month, with deliveries scheduled to begin in June. Fisker plans to produce between 32,000 and 36,000 units of the Ocean in 2023, with prices starting around $39,000.

In conclusion, Fisker’s announcement of the Ocean Force E demonstrates the brand’s commitment to expanding its electric lineup and catering to off-road enthusiasts. With its off-road enhancements and unique features, the Force E offers customers a more adventurous and capable electric crossover option.
